intro

Simthetic is a simulation tool and a framework for many different transmission system simulations. This library simtheticlib contains blocks for a complete OFDM coded transmission system.

quickstart

Example parameter files for the available systems are in simtheticlib/parameters/

The main system blocks are all derived from respective base classes, which are as follows:

• simthlib::Encoder for convolutional or block encoding
• simthlib::Modulator with various constellation diagrams
• simthlib::Transmitter in single-carrier or multi-carrier (OFDM) versions
• simthlib::Channel as AWGN, Rayleigh or WSSUS channel models
• simthlib::Receiver
• simthlib::Demodulator with or without channel knowledge
• simthlib::Decoder with Viterbi decoder et al

Displaying the results and/or intermediate values happens in these classes and their derivations:

• simthlib::TransmissionMonitorFile for bit error counting
• simthlib::Displaypipe for displaying any value during transmission
• simthlib::Filepipe when saving sequences to file
